We are a Baptist Church seeking to learn, love, and serve.

We are affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Southern Baptist Convention, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. You can see a detailing of our beliefs HERE

Here’s a little information at a glance to get you acquainted with FBC Comanche. We’re attempting to take some of the guess work out of where to go, how to get there, and what to expect! If you still have questions or need any additional help, please feel free to call the church office at 325-356-2051.

Frequently asked questions

What do I expect when I get there?

Our main parking lot is on the north side of the main auditorium on Houston street.  There is specified visitor’s parking there and on Houston street directly in front of the main auditorium.  You may enter through the main front entrance on Houston street (steps) or you may enter at the door on the north side of the building across from the parking lot (no steps.)

There’s no assigned seating! Come in and make yourself at home in our sanctuary.

Where do I take my kiddos?

They are welcome to stay in the sanctuary with you, we believe kiddos are a gift from the Lord and so are their squeals and coos. We also have a wonderfully caring nursery staff for small children as well as a fun Children’s church opportunity for ages 3 – 2nd grade.

To get to the nursery: The nursery is located on the west end of our education building.  You may park in the parking lot behind the church and enter through the southwest door and you will be directly at the nursery.  Or, you may enter the auditorium and one of our ushers will be glad to lead you through the building to the nursery.

To get to Children’s church: For children’s church, the pastor will invite the children to come down as he steps up to do the sermon.  He will announce the name of the teacher leading them that morning, and that teacher will lead them to the class room and then return them to the auditorium at the end of the service.

How do I dress for church?

At FBC, we are very informal.  The pastor doesn’t even wear a coat and tie!  Come however you feel comfortable.

Do I have to give money if I come?

We believe that giving is a part of worship, and we do take an offering at our service.  However, you are never required to give and there is no pressure to give.  We leave that to you and the Lord.  People participate in giving at different times and in different ways, so no one is ever noticeable as not giving as the plate goes by.

What kind of music do you use in your service?

We believe that music is a key factor in worship, so we try to provide meaningful ways for everyone to enjoy.  Every Sunday, we use a combination of hymns and contemporary worship music.  We have both a choir and a praise band.  In addition, we have tremendously talented pianists and organists who accompany and play solos.  We sing together congregationally and also have special performances.  We think you will always find something that blesses you every Sunday.

What age groups come to your church?

We are blessed to have a wide variety of ages in our church.  We have every age group from babies to senior adults in their 90s.  We have children, students, and young adults.  No matter what your age, you will find somebody just like you in the service.  Afterwards, we have Bible study classes for all age groups.

What happens after "big church"

We love congregational worship and find great value in coming together to read the word of God and worship in a corporate manner. However, we also know connections are made in smaller groups. We have a bible study groups that are broken out based on what season of life you are in to help you find common believers and connect in a deeper manner.
